It occurred to me recently that though I had created several Alice in Wonderland themed artworks, I had never actually created a piece with ‘Alice’ herself in it.  I decided to remedy that by beginning work on a Alice themed piece, but the big question was which direction to go with her?  After way to much deliberation, I went with the scene at the very end of the first book.  Alice is witnessing a ridiculous trial to see who stole the Queen’s tarts.  Alice grows taller as she becomes more and more frustrated with the trial. When the queen becomes angry with her and orders, “Off with her head!” Alice throws her hands up and says, “You are all just a pack of cards!”
